Project Example: Office Block Conversion
In a recent project, we worked on converting a 1950s three-storey office block into luxury apartments. The conversion retained the building’s existing structural elements, and we took a careful approach to ensure the asbestos survey was comprehensive and aligned with the planned work.
Planning & Surveying
Before quoting for the project, we conducted two site visits, which revealed discrepancies between the existing management survey reports and the actual site conditions. Based on these visits, we adjusted our quotation and survey approach, ensuring the asbestos management strategy was robust and accurate.
Asbestos Survey Works
Given the large-scale nature of the conversion, we carried out a thorough Refurbishment and Demolition (R&D) survey. We conducted intrusive surveying, leaving no areas unexamined, and provided a comprehensive report. This approach enabled immediate work in areas identified with asbestos and ensured proper planning in other parts of the building.
