At Thames Laboratories, we operate a UKAS-accredited asbestos testing laboratory at our Cambridgeshire Head Office. Our laboratory is accredited to ISO 17025 and has the capacity to process over 50,000 samples annually, ensuring reliable and efficient asbestos analysis.

Quality-Driven Expertise

Our laboratory team consists of highly trained professionals, all holding BOHS P401 or equivalent qualifications in asbestos bulk analysis. We maintain the highest industry standards by participating in the RICE (Regular Inter-laboratory Counting Exchange) and AIMS (Asbestos In Materials Scheme) proficiency testing programs. Our experience spans a diverse range of projects, from small residential inspections to large-scale commercial asbestos assessments.

Mobile Laboratory Services

For asbestos air monitoring projects, we also deploy mobile laboratories—self-contained, UKAS-approved units designed for on-site air sample analysis. These vehicles allow us to deliver fast, efficient, and compliant testing, even in remote or time-sensitive environments.
