Asbestos testing
The process we employ for the analysis of suspect materials is based upon the guidance given in the Health and Safety Executive document MDHS77.
Thames Laboratories implements this method using stringent internal quality-control processes as well as participating in the AIMS (Asbestos in Materials Scheme) external quality audit scheme.
The importance of quality in this activity cannot be overstressed. This is the only opportunity for the correct identification of asbestos-containing materials and it is from this, that all other conclusions concerning the asbestos are made.
