This training is tiered in terms of content and duration and the regulations cover a wide range of groups. Importantly the training needs to be delivered by a competent person.
The requirements have identified 3 types of training aimed at clear groups.

- Non –Licensed Asbestos Training.
This training is specifically aimed at those who undertake work with non-licensed asbestos materials and should incorporate an element of practical training.
- Licensed Asbestos Removal Training
This training is specifically aimed at those who work within the asbestos industry undertaking the removal of higher risk materials.
In addition to the requirements of Regulation 10 additional training is required for those who work as asbestos surveyors and analysts, and where necessary specialist training is also required for those who may find themselves with Duty Holder responsibilities.
